La Chevalière is the brand new pilot boat of the Port of St-Malo. This boat was built in 2008 at Cork (Ireland) by Safehaven Marine. This new unithas a max speed of 24.5 knots. She is powered by two Iveco engines of 500hp each, and two fixed pitch propellers.

She replaces pilote François Vayva pilot boat dating back to 1982.
