Named Trieux March 12, 2006, the Gendarmerie Maritime speedboat was commissioned in March 2006. She replaced in Saint-Malo the speedboat P707 MDLC Robet.


  The patrol boat P616 Trieux is a coastal maritime surveillance boat built in 2005-2006 by RaidCo-Marine yard in Herbaudière (island of Noirmoutier). She is part of a series of 24 speedboats (type RPB20) built for the Gendarmerie Maritime.

She is powered by two 12-cylinder diesel engines MAN with a total of 2000 HP, and fixed-pitch propellers. Her stern has a ramp  for launching a semi-rigid craft of 4.90 metres.
