Le Levant was built in 1998 in Saint Malo by the Alstom Leroux Naval yard specialized in high-speed vessels. The Compagnie du Ponant operates her for a new type of cruises, more cultural, more intimate. She can embark 95 passengers and 50 crew members and is propelled at 17 knots by 2 engines with a total of 4062 hp.
