Vessel AIS tracking

AIS (Automatic Identification System) equips commercial vessels and fishing boats. Thanks to a broadcast on VHF channels of information like positions, course, type of vessel, length and destination, this system allows each vessel to locate the boat in its sector and to understand their movements. The map below is carried out by the MarineTraffic site that collects data of receiving stations around the world.
